DGOS publishes a guide for the development of regional programs of telemedicine

Régions | 04 Oct 2012
As part of its national telemedicine rollout plan, the French Délégation Générale de l’Offre de Soins (DGOS) published a "methodological guide to creating regional telemedicine programmes" on 16 December 2011.

In addition to practical advice on implementing the five national priorities for telemedicine rollout, and a framework and content for use directly by teams, the guide provides a six-step process for implementing a regional telemedicine programme (PRT).

This is a highly useful tool for regional health agencies (ARS), and will make their work more consistent. This methodological guide will also act as a road map for existing telemedicine projects, and will provide guidance for the national strategy for rolling out telemedicine.
