Almost 200 participants attended the 9th Journée Nationale des Industriels

Services | 08 Oct 2012
On Thursday 21st of June, ASIP Santé's French one-day conference for industry bodies took place. This event is the biannual meeting between the agency and the main industry bodies in e-health (e.g. organizations responsible for publishing and integrating healthcare software, manufacturers of specialist computer equipment, consultancies). The day was led by Jérôme Duvernois, who has recently started at ASIP Santé as a special advisor on relations with industry. The event was an opportunity to announce the creation of a Publishers' Club, which encourages co-ordination between ASIP Santé and the private sector.

The morning began with an update on the work being done by ASIP Santé, which was presented by its director, Jean-Yves Robin. He began by reassuring the audience of industry professionals that ASIP Santé's projects are continuing, despite the change of ministerial team, and that documentation on the subject is provided by the direction générale de l'offre de soins (DGOS).

Among the themes addressed during the rest of the day were a full update on the rollout of the healthcare professional card (CPS) and the technical, logistic and communications issues involved, along with a presentation of the new CPS area of the website (see also our article on this topic in French).

There was also a summary of current work on mobility, as industry bodies now have big expectations of tablet and smartphone apps; there was also an update on specifications and accreditation of multidisciplinary healthcare centres and clusters. These two topics both stem from the same ambition: to broaden the scope of e-health for the benefit of patient management.
