National information database launched on portal

Communiqué de Presse | 18 Oct 2010
ASIP Santé, the public agency charged with developing health information sys-tems, is launching an information database. Its aim is to list all of France's e-health economic stakeholders, what they do, and the solutions they offer.
This national information database, entitled "associated industries, products and e-health projects in France", has been designed in partnership with the leading representatives of companies in the sector.
All stakeholders will be able to contribute to the database which, ultimately, will become a showcase for French expertise.
If the right conditions are created, there are likely to be significant developments in certain segments of the e-health market (personal assistance and telemedicine); for this reason, the database is also open to businesses which may have compe-tencies (products or services) that are already suited or could be suitable for these new markets, and could eventually be positioned on it.
